Jolly Green Giant anyone? #50

asparagus

I was thrilled to find thin spear asparagus at the Farmer’s Market and finally set about making them on Tuesday. This is a super simple way to make asparagus that works well for a side dish and keeps alright for bento.

1/4 cup soy sauce (something like that)

Splash of seseme seed oil

Splash of mirin

I used Extra Virgin Olive Oil instead of seseme seed oil as the base because a little seseme seed oil goes a long way. Just let them cook for a minute or two, add the soysauce mixture and cover the frying pan with a lid to let them steam for around 3 minutes more. Test to make sure they are tender enough and voila! Finito!
