Fruity Hawaii #161

George had his really nice camera AND an underwater camera, so after awhile I stopped taking so many pictures. I do have lovely shots of beaches, cliff vistas, jungle etc, but I picked photos for the blog that showed some of the smaller, but still special details of our trip.

Vijay was our resident botanist and kept picking fruit from every tree we passed. He was obsessed with getting a fresh mango and finally grabbed one in Kauai along with..whatever this other bumpy fruit might be. We tried guava, blackberries, plums, tiny hairy blue berries, and pears. We had the chance to eat a strawberry guava, but we didn’t know what it was at the time.

  1. This bumpy fruit is actually known as bread fruit, and not strawberry banana :)..
